Teacher's Convention Pupdate!

Our latest Teacher's Convention daycamp was amazing!! I got to meet 28 amazing kids and we had all kinds of fun! I even saw a fluffy chicken learn how to turn in a circle for a treat.

Our next Teacher's Convention camp, coming up on March 1st and 2nd is already sold out. Crazy, eh? I'm looking forward to meeting a new group of awesome youngsters.

Today I'm spending my time playing with birthday kids. It's absolutely exhausting, but someone's got to do it. You can also catch me at the Edmonton Rush game on Friday. We'll be participating in an ANTI-BULLYING campaign with Edmonton's favourite Lacrosse team. I'll be there with two of my pack-mates, Ember and Kindle.

WOOF!

Teacher's Convention Camp at the EHS

I passed my vet exam yesterday with flying colours!

Now I'm all vaccinated and ready to attend the Edmonton Humane Society's Teacher's Convention day camp. I'm really excited to make my debut as a full fledged Education Dog to all of the amazing kids that come to camp Sit. Stay. Play!

Just a quick teaser of planned activities...

On Thursday we're going to have some fun with cats and camera's!

On Friday we're going to have a couple of really special guests that are going to teach us about clicker training (one of those guests has feathers!)

Peace & <3,
Hyzer

Introduction

Hello everyone!

My name is Hyzer. I am a 5 month old Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) that was found as a stray.

My human mommy adopted me from the Edmonton Humane Society because she wanted a small dog that was good with kids and could play frisbee with her! Well... I think I'm just perfect for the job.

I now work at the Edmonton Humane Society in the Education Department, teaching kids about dogs, manners, compassion, and about how awesome it can be to have a dog as a companion animal. I couldn't ask for a better job! It's wonderful that a young active little jumping bean like myself can go to work with my person and play with children all day long!

I'm working very hard right now to learn all of the obedience skills that I'm going to need in the future. Since Wednesday (my Gotcha! Day) I have learned to sit, lie down, stand up, spin, and high five! I'm such a clever little stinker.

Today is my first vet exam since I went home... I hope I do okay. I didn't study!!
